WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH COSTA RICA MISSION PROJECTS!
We are collecting Gatorades, waters, and individually packaged snacks to make available on the snack cart during our Golf Tournament. Golfers will be able to purchase these items for a donation as a way to raise more funds to support our team! Items can be brought to the church office throughout the week, or brought to the atrium on Sunday morning.
You can also support this ministry by volunteering on the day of the tournament. We need people to witness the Hole in One and drive the snack cart. And Yes - everyone wants to drive the beverage cart, but to qualify to drive the cart you must have also signed up for the Hole In One wachters or be there before or after the event to set up and clean up. BTW - The golf cart cannot not be driven by two teenagers - sorry guys, these golfers take the course and rules very serious. Thank you for your support!

Since 2011, First UMC has been in a relationship with missionary Wil Bailey. We have sent teams and supported his mission with funds. We have been unable to travel to Costa Rica since 2018. In 2019, we chose not to send a team and focus our efforts on rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Florence. Wil brought his staff to Carteret County in 2019 to help us rebuild. In 2020 and 2021, we canceled our trips due to Covid. By playing in this tournament, you are helping us maintain our support to Wil and send a team made of local youth and adults.
